What is Vivamar?

VIVAMAR is society for Sustainable Development for the Sea, who's main goal is conservation and protection of the last remaining Marine Mammals in the Slovenian sea and North Adriatic - Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus).

vivamar.org/files/6_icon.jpg" border="0" alt="cms_object_id_75" width="80" height="80" />Looking from broader aspect, the activity is oriented towards understanding and defining the factors, which influence the populations of Marine Mammals and striving for the prevention of the marine environment, which will be welfare not only for Marine Mammals, but also for all other animals living in the marine environment.

VIVAMAR was established on 5th of June 2002, on the World's Environmental Day, short before the world's meeting on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg. The society is small, nonprofit and research oriented organisation, working in public interest for vivamar.org/files/vivamar_2-gwuk_icon.jpg" border="0" alt="cms_object_id_20" width="80" height="80" />preservation of marine mammals in the area. It tries to link professional as well as non-professional public for acting on the sustainable manner, mostly concerning marine ecosystem. With such acting VIVAMAR should achieve better awareness also of those, who negatively influence on the ecosystem.
