Majority of activities of the Vivamar Society are dedicated to a conservation and research of the threatened common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) in NE Adriatic. While Vivamar is also trying to take care and educate about other large marine vertebrates which are crucial to maintain a balance in a local marine ecosystem. These are: loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) and sharks (taxonomic subclass Elasmobranchii) or any other marine mammals that are visitors to the Northern most Adriatic Sea.
